Announcing the Launch of Drexel Health Clinical Operations

Drexel University is proud to announce the launch of Drexel Health Clinical Operations, a transformative initiative unifying all clinical health services across the University under a centralized structure. This new entity is designed to enhance leadership, streamline operations, and ensure robust compliance across Drexel’s diverse clinical enterprise.

Dr. Charles B. Cairns, Walter H. and Leonore Annenberg Dean of the College of Medicine and Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs at Drexel, has been appointed Senior Vice President of Drexel Health Operations, and will lead this strategic effort.

Drexel Health Clinical Operations will:

• Lead with a collaborative governance model that respects the diversity of clinical offerings while ensuring consistent oversight and best practices.
• Expand scope by integrating clinical programs, providers and administrative services, including electronic health records, billing and strategic partnerships.
• Ensure compliance through centralized credentialing, licensure verification, risk management and adherence to legal and privacy standards.

This initiative marks a significant step toward improving operational efficiency, reducing institutional risk, and fostering innovation across Drexel’s 28 clinical entities spanning eight colleges and schools.
