The OLC was envisioned by Provost Greenberg back in 2009 and has grown in scope and focus ever since. The original committees focused on quality, scalability, retention, and student support/engagement. Shortly thereafter, the OLC itself saw value in adding committees focused on scalability and communication as well as a sub-group under the quality committee looking at academic integrity and academic honesty. This INSPIRE Web site is a great example of the real work products the Council has created. Now 90+ members strong, faculty make up more than half of the Council.
