Jake Corman versus the NCAA, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia versus Obamacare’s contraceptive coverage mandate and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission versus the Office of Attorney General in a pay-to-play scheme, to name a few.
From May through November of 2014, Kandahar Air Field in Afghanistan served as Capt. Carlos Ramirez-Vazquez’s home office, where he served as chief of military justice – the lead prosecutor – for the U.S. Army’s 1st Cavalry Division.
As 1Ls, Shayna Cornell and David Gannone were in the same section, taking the same classes and absorbing the same foundation in torts, contracts and legal writing. A keen interest in criminal law had brought each of them to law school, and they eventually discovered a shared passion for the subject – and for each other.
