This March, the ExCITe Center will host HAMR (Hacking Audio and Music Research) Philly 2014, a hackathon that focuses on the development of new techniques for analyzing, processing and synthesizing audio and music signals. The event will start at 11am on Saturday and conclude at 5pm on Sunday, but is not planned to be an overnight event.
While most hackathons emphasize prototyping commercial applications using technology from sponsor companies, HAMR encourages exploration of novel ideas over producing polished projects. The event is sponsored by the ExCITe Center, the MET-lab, and the Drexel University Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
