Office of International Student and Scholars Services

The Office of International Students and Scholars Services (ISSS) offers a vast array of programs and services to approximately 5,000 international students, scholars and faculty representing 117 different countries. The ISSS team is dedicated to promoting meaningful engagement between United States Citizens and nationals of other countries by organizing culturally enriching opportunities for all members of the Drexel community. Through active collaboration with strategic campus partners, including the Office of Global Engagement and Education Abroad, ISSS provides leadership and guidance for Drexel’s global initiatives.

With the goal of supporting transformative experiences of members of Drexel’s global community, ISSS interacts with and serves various groups:

  • International students enrolled in degree-seeking programs at all educational levels as well as those enrolled in temporary exchange and intensive English language programs.
  • International faculty and professional staff.
  • Academic and administrative departments providing services to international students, scholars and faculty.

ISSS team members regularly advise international students, scholars and faculty on immigration, cultural, financial, academic and personal matters, and make appropriate referrals when necessary. A student's affiliation with ISSS begins immediately after the admission process and continues well beyond graduation.

ISSS is responsible for institutional compliance with the United States Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) regulations.

All ISSS-related inquiries and questions should be directed to 215.895.2502 or isss@drexel.edu. The ISSS team is also available by appointment and during regular walk-in hours without appointment as posted.
