Community Wellness HUB
A message from the Community Wellness HUB team: We are deeply committed to the safety and health of our community members. Due to the public health emergency resulting from COVID-19, we have temporarily suspended on-site health and wellness services. Please check back for when these services will restart.
For now, we are hard at work developing ideas to connect with our community and participants remotely and will be in touch soon with opportunities.
A neighborhood health resource
Located at the Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships, the Community Wellness HUB is a place where all are welcome for support with health and wellness concerns. The HUB offers a variety of clinical services, including no cost primary care for uninsured patients, free walk-in health screenings (rapid HIV testing, blood pressure, glucose, BMI and more), as well as behavioral health counseling on a sliding-scale fee. All of our clinical staff are full-time faculty here at Drexel University ready to provide quality and compassionate care in a safe, welcoming environment. In addition to the clinical services mentioned, the HUB also hosts a variety of programming for the community centered around various aspects of health and wellness.
Our Vision
To reduce health disparities and to improve the health and quality of life of residents living in Mantua and Powelton Village
Our Misson
The mission of the Community Wellness HUB is to HEAL the community through preventative care, UNITE the community around better health, and BRIDGE the community to health services and health education programming, while tackling the social determinants that underlie their health disparities.
The Community Wellness HUB will accomplish this mission by:
- Providing caring, non-judgmental and interdisciplinary health programming and services which will improve health, health equity, and quality of life of Mantua and Powelton Village residents through a focus on wellness, health promotion, disease prevention and education
- Bridging the divide between community goals and aspirations and community expertise. Through a partnership between community stakeholders and the Drexel University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions, and in conjunction with other University colleges, departments, faculty, staff and students. The Community Wellness HUB aims to create a culturally appropriate safe space that works to address the community’s top health needs and improve the community’s overall health status.
