About

Academic Information & Systems (AIS) is a centralized department within Drexel University's Enrollment Management and Student Success Division. This team of Systems Analysts and Managers supports the University's academic, administrative, and operational units by maintaining and enhancing core enterprise software applications, primarily Ellucian Banner.

AIS plays a crucial role in:

  • System Support: Providing training, documentation, and troubleshooting for users of these applications.
  • System Analysis and Development: Analyzing business needs, modifying existing systems, and developing new information processing systems to meet those needs.
  • System Implementation: Leading the selection, evaluation, and implementation of new applications, including custom solutions, that integrate with Banner and other University systems.
  • Project Management: Managing projects ranging from small operational tasks to large-scale software implementations.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness through the use of technology and process optimization.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with IT teams, administrative offices, and academic departments to ensure alignment and smooth operations.

By providing expert support and driving technological advancements, AIS empowers Drexel University to achieve its academic and administrative goals.
