Bruce Graham, Screenwriting and Playwriting Professorwas featured in a front page Philadelphia Inquirer story on Theatre Exile’s upcoming original production of Graham’s play about the life of former Philadelphia Mayor Frank Rizzo. Click here to read the story.

Clare Sauro, Curator of Drexel’s Historic Costume Collection, was featured in Philadelphia Inquirer article on the evolution of lace in fashion. In the piece, titled, “Lace it up for Spring,” Sauro discussed how lace was once considered an important social status indicator. Click here to read the article.

Jeff Hill has joined the Drexel Westphal community as its new Director of Communications and will now be handling all written press, online and social media responsibilities for the college. Jeff comes to Westphal with an extensive background in journalism and communications, including editorial management positions with several technology, business, trade and arts publications.

Lisa Visco has been promoted to Director of Creative Services & Events. Lisa will handle all events planning for the college, including reserving spaces, promotional materials, catering, facilities, and logistics for internal and external clients. Lisa will also oversee the production of all printed materials that go out from the college including posters, postcards, recruitment marketing, brochures, and programs.

Kate Lawler, Graphic Design student, received the American Graphic Design & Advertising’s (AGDA) “Best of Student (Category)” distinction at the 28th annual American Corporate Identity (ACI) awards. AGDA, known as the premier showcase for the best graphic design and advertising in America, reviewed tens of thousands of submissions during the competition. Lawler’s winning work will be represented in a full color, hardcover book available for purchase this summer on Issuu.com. Steven D. Elliot, Graphic Design student, was a finalist in the “Best of Student (Category)”.
