Westphal College Hosts National Portfolio Day

November 12, 2006

National Portfolio DayThe Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design will be hosting National Portfolio Day on November 12, 2006. The day serves as an educational event for young artists, and is hosted at select colleges throughout the United States and Canada. Over 50 of North America's best art programs will be in attendance and representatives from each school will review artwork, offer critique, share information about their schools and discuss college plans with interested attendees. This event is not an examination or competition; the representatives are interested in development of young artists.

National Portfolio Day will give aspiring artists a taste of what it could be like to be part of a professional arts program. Attendees should bring a portfolio that includes finished pieces, works in progress and sketchbooks. It is recommended that attendees keep their work simple; do not spend money or time framing or matting your work.

Portfolio reviews will be held from 12pm - 4pm in Drexel's Main Building (3141 Chestnut Street). Click here for more information on registration, participating schools and general information.
