Renaissance Food and Fun at the Annual Madrigal Dinner

16th Annual Madrigal DinnerThe Department of Performing Arts presents the Fifteenth Annual Madrigal Dinner on Friday, February 25th and Saturday February 26th in Drexel's Great Court at 7:30 p.m. The Drexel Chamber Singers, with assorted jugglers, jesters and lute, harpsichord and trumpet players will provide a fully costumed Renaissance meal and entertainment.

Each evening features student performers costumed in the Renaissance style, with authentically prepared meals common to the era. This year's menu includes a host of appetizing Elizabethan dishes such as: Osso Bucco (braised veal), Poached Salmon, Mulled Cider, Potage Jacqueline, Roasted Potatoes, Roasted Turnip and Peas, Assorted Breads and Butter, and Upside Down Warm Apple Tart. Following the fine feast, the Chamber Singers will delight guests with the sounds of Elizabethan Madrigals, French chansons, English ballads and lute songs.
