The Drexel Interiors program is excited to welcome a new full-time faculty member, Sara McElroy. With a background in philosophy and cultural studies, McElroy studied interior design and lighting design at The New School’s Parsons School of Design. She has previously worked for Tillotson Design on major international projects such as the Bloomberg Headquarters in London. In 2017 she founded her own design practice, Silver Shoe Design.   

McElroy has worked on a variety of retail projects for Glossier and was named by Lighting Design Magazine as a top lighting designer under 40. She brings a passion for the conceptual design process to her work and focuses on how lighting impacts people and defines space.
