Fashion Design Alum Competes on Project Runway October 11, 2019 Nancy Volpe-Beringer, a 2016 alumna of Westphal’s graduate Fashion Design program, will join the cast of competing designers on the 18th season of Bravo’s Emmy-winning series Project Runway. In 2016, Nancy’s graduate collection received four awards at the Drexel Fashion Show, including the Award for Best Eveningwear Design, and she has since gone on to show at Philadelphia Fashion Week, the December 2018 Joan Shepp Holiday Pop-Up and more. In 2019, her bold red-carpet look for Grammy nominee Tierra Whack earned her national attention and a “Best of Philly” recognition from Philadelphia Magazine. Nancy will compete as Project Runway’s oldest contestant ever for the $250,000 grand prize, a feature in ELLE magazine, a mentorship with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), and more.
