Each year, Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) releases Students to Watch, a roundup list of students who are ready to burst onto the design scene. Westphal Graphic Design students have been featured on the list since its inauguration in 2010. This year, two Westphal students made the prestigious list, and they shared their design inspiration, career goals, and more with the publication.

Amanda Christian, a Graphic Design senior also minoring in Fine Arts and Art History, notes her love for typography and publication design, her admiration of Barbara Kruger and Shepard Fairey, and her dream of working in the non-profit sector. Read Amanda’s profile here.

Graphic Design senior Kaci Kwiatek discusses how her co-op at Zivtech and coursework in human-computer interaction inspired her passion for user interface design as a way to make people’s lives easier. Learn more about Kaci here.
