The new Music Industry Studios in One Drexel Plaza designed by Walters-Storyk Design Group (WSDG) in partnership with architectural and interior design firm Environetics received numerous media mentions, including features in Mix Magazine Online, Audio Media International, and TVTechnology.com. “Student response to Drexel’s unique Music Industry program has grown exponentially since it was introduced in 2001,” says Allen Sabinson, dean of Westphal College, speaking to the need that will be fulfilled by the state-of-the-art new facilities. “Our new facility is designed to immerse [our students] in a literal rather than a virtual environment,” says Jim Klein, Program Director for Music Industry at Drexel. Recording technology manufacturer Rupert Neve Designs also featured the recently-installed Rupert Neve Designs 5088 Console in an article on the facility's expansion. Facilities Manager Ryan Moys calls the console “jaw-dropping at first listen.”
