Lydia Hunn

Lydia Hunn, Art & Art History Professor, is a visual and performance artist whose work is in the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the New York Public Library, the Otis Art Institute, and the Rosenwald Collection of the Library of Congress, among others. She has exhibited at the Delaware Art Museum, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Fleisher Art Memorial, Philadelphia’s Institute of Contemporary Art, P.S. 1, the Academy of Natural Sciences, and the San Diego Art Institute, as well as in China, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Hungary, and more. She has taught painting, drawing, design, and for thirty-eight years she’s taught her unique course, Multimedia Performance. She encourages experimentation and explorations, and she has graced this College with her straightforward and intelligent insights, input, and integrity.

Lydia has been a committed member of our community, serving on countless committees while helping generations of students discover and unleash their creativity, marching forth free from the expectations of professional outcomes or the fear of failure.
