Jillian Iffland joins Westphal as our new Academic Advisor for undergraduate students in Photography, Television, Screenwriting & Playwriting, and all Digital Media programs. With nearly ten years of experience in academic advising and student affairs, including at Kent State University and Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Jillian brings to Drexel a wealth of experience and knowledge that will help our students to succeed in reaching their academic and professional goals.

Since 2013, Jillian served as Academic Advisor in the Honors College at Kent State University where she cultivated advising partnerships with hundreds of high-achieving students. From 2010 to 2013 she served as an advisor in Kent State’s College of Arts and Sciences, and prior to that she was a first-year advisor in the Office of Residence Life at Miami University. She has a great deal of experience in collaborating with faculty and staff and guiding students toward success in planning for and meeting academic requirements. She also brings teaching experience to Westphal, having led orientation courses and leadership and career development seminars for students.

“What I love about my work is getting to know students and helping them navigate their way to reaching their goals. I’m looking forward to working with the creative and passionate students that Westphal has, and eager to see what they are able to teach me!,” Jillian said.
