A star-studded lineup of audio engineers, producers, scholars and musicians will participate in the 10^th Annual Art of Record Production Conference (ARP) from November 6 to 8. Speakers range from Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer Tony Maserati, who has worked with artists like Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Tupac Shakur; neo-classical recording artist and Golden Globe Award winner, Suzanne Ciani; Dr. Susan Rogers, a researcher and one of the world’s few female record producers, who has worked as a staff engineer for Prince and a producer for David Byrne; and many more. Dozens of expert panelists will lead discussions surrounding four main topics, including Agency: Content Creators in Record Production; Multi-Polarities: Contextualizing the Art of Record Production; Education: Connecting Research to Practical Education; and Ten Years On: The Art of Record Production. 

ARP is presented annually by the Association for the Study of the Art of Record Production (ASARP), an academic organization dedicated to the study of the production of recorded music and whose members are, or have been, professional recording engineers, producers and musicians. ASARP maintains close ties to the international recording industry and collaborates with other bodies to organize research events and lend support for research projects and funding bids.
