DNEWS

March 17, 2015

Catch the newest episode of DNEWS, our award-winning student-produced monthly TV news magazine, which airs on Friday, March 27 at 8:00pm on Comcast channels 54 and 62 and Fios channel 37. The episode gives a glimpse of Drexel and Philadelphia on the verge of spring: at the Philadelphia Flower Show, cinematic images take center stage; in University City there is a new pop-up beer garden, as well as a soon-to-open “Royal Tea” Chinese food truck at 33rd and Market Streets; and the culinary exploration continues as the Philly Food Tour takes tourists to Reading Terminal Market. In a Music Industry class called “Uncovering the Philly Groove,” undergraduates are breathing fresh life into raw, unfinished R&B and soul tracks from Drexel’s 1970s Sigma Sound archives through a partnership with Reservoir Media; and at Drexel’s Recycle Regatta, students build cardboard boats to race across the REC Center’s “high seas.” Find these stories and more in the March 27 episode. If you missed the last episode of DNEWS, you can find it here.

The February episode featured an interview with Victoria Napolitano, the 26-year-old Drexel graduate who recently became the mayor of Moorestown, NJ, a visit to the Philadelphia Tattoo Convention, and much more.
