On the Latest DNEWS
February 17, 2015
While the full spectrum of life across Drexel’s schools and colleges is covered in DNEWS, our student-produced monthly TV news magazine, the January 2015 edition takes a special focus on Westphal. Click here to watch coverage of the January auditions for America’s Next Top Model held at the URBN Center; a profile of the Dance department’s inspiring educational outreach, led by professor Valerie Ifill, to the West Philadelphia communities of Mantua and Powelton Village; and a behind-the-scenes look at the Co-Op Theatre Company’s current production of DOG SEES GOD.
The January edition also features two profiles of LeBow College of Business students, including the moving story of how freshman Kenzie Lynch has overcome his visual impairment to live a rich life at Drexel; and the professional success of David Santarelli, who DJs at night spots throughout the East coast. Other stories include a visit to Federal Donuts, the now-famous fried chicken and donut restaurant that recently opened a location on the University City campus, and a visit to the History of Chocolate exhibition at the Academy of Natural Sciences.
DNEWS is an award-winning show shot and produced by Film & Video students as well as students from across Westphal and the University, and airs on Comcast channels 54 and 62 and Fios channel 37.
