The Graphic Design Senior Show is an exhibition of outstanding work that represents the diversity of the programs curriculum. This years show and public reception will take place Thursday, June 12 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the URBN Center Annex Leonard Pearlstein Gallery. Graphic Design seniors will exhibit projects in book design, packaging, publication design, web design, environmental graphic design, exhibition design, and motion graphics. The exhibit includes senior thesis and capstone projects that showcase the versatility and talent of our award-winning students.
Included in the exhibition will be two Creativity 43 Award-winning projects: "Skirkanich Hall", a Gold Award-winning newsletter designed by Michael Garzarelli and the Silver Award-winning "Baxter Bros." restaurant branding by Jackie Schlindwein. In addition, two of the GDUSA 2014 "Students to Watch", Luis Quevedo and Gerre Mae Barcebal, are among the exhibiting seniors. Luis and Gerre Mae join 23 other students selected nationally for inclusion in this issue.
This year, we are excited to include interdisciplinary projects that showcase work created by our seniors in collaboration with local partners. Those partners include: the Pennsylvania Ballet, the Philadelphia History Museum, Greensgrow Farms, ConKerr Cancer, and the Center for Hunger-Free Communities, School of Public Health at Drexel University.
The URBN Center Annex's Leonard Pearlstein Gallery is located at 3401 Filbert St., Philadelphia. For further information about the show please contact Kim Coulter at 215-895-1649.
