Linda Kim named Visual History Archive Teaching Fellow
May 1, 2014
Linda Kim, Art & Art History Professor, was named a 2014 University of Southern California Shoah Foundation Visual History Archive Teaching Fellow. As part of her fellowship she will teach a new Drexel course entitled Witness to Atrocity: Photography and Human Rights in spring 2015. The course will use the Institute for Visual History Archive’s video testimonials of the Holocaust and 1994 Rwandan genocide to study the role of photographs in mediating the experiences of the survivors and witnesses, as well as our own retroactive understanding of the events they recount. Enrollment will be limited, but students interested in photography, communications, media, and law are encouraged to register for the course when it opens next year.
