MAD Dragon Records’ BattleFest is back for another round-robin battle of bands, in which four bands of diverse genres play head-to-head in a circle surrounding the audience. The bands trade off songs in rapid succession in a format based on the popular music showcase, “Later…with Jools Holland.”

The show takes place on June 10 at 7:30 pm in the URBN Annex Black Box Theater (3401 Filbert Street), directly following the Senior Send-off celebration. Tickets to BattleFest can be purchased at the door for $5, but all graduating seniors who attend the Senior Send-off can get into the show for free. This time around, BattleFest will feature four local bands including the atmospheric folk of Maitland, the new wave sounds of Cousin Brian, and electronica bands Moon Bounce and Mr. Sampson.
