An Evening With Randall Poster

Music supervisor Randall Poster is one of the most in-demand soundtrack professionals in today’s film industry. He is known for his work with film directors Wes Anderson, Todd Haynes and Martin Scorsese, HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and the Fleetwood Mac tribute album Rave On Buddy Holly.
On Thursday, Nov. 14th, the Music Industry program will host an evening with Randall Poster at 6 p.m. in the URBN Annex Screening Room (3401 Filbert St., Philadelphia). Poster will be discussing his career in TV and film scoring in depth and will be presenting his new record on ATO Records, Divided & United – a two-disc set of Civil War songs brought to life through fresh interpretations by the pioneers, Hall of Famers and rising young stars of country, bluegrass, folk and beyond.
Divided & United artists include Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton (on a duet with Stuart Duncan), Vince Gill, Lee Ann Womack, Ralph Stanley, AA Bondy, Jamey Johnson, Chris Thile, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Taj Mahal, Shovels & Rope, Cowboy Jack Clement, John Doe, Karen Elson and many more. Combined they have won close to 200 GRAMMY Awards, numerous Country Music Awards and include Rock And Roll Hall of Famers, Country Music Hall of Famers and Bluegrass Hall of Famers.
