New Music Program Director

March 20, 2013

We are happy to announce that Luke Abruzzo, Assistant Teaching Professor of Music in the Department of Performing Arts, will be the new Music Program Director. Besides his devotion to teaching music theory and music composition, he is a very active freelance musician, and commissioned composer and arranger. He remains an active member of the College Music Society and the Jazz Education Network.

As the Music Program Director, Luke Abruzzo works with four full-time colleagues and oversees twenty-six part-time faculty. Westphal’s Music Program serves approximately 3700 students from across the University per year in academic classes, private music lessons, and eighteen performing ensembles, who perform numerous concerts per term, both on and off campus.
