Percussion Ensemble

March 7, 2013

The Percussion Ensemble will play music from our favorite video games during a free concert on March 16th at 3 PM in the Mandell Theater. Gamers and non-gamers alike will enjoy music from “Super Mario Bros,” “Tetris,” and “Pokémon.” Ensemble director Mark Beecher was a 1st round nominee for the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards with his band, Savior Soul, and has performed with Shania Twain and the Chieftains. The Drexel Percussion Ensemble is known for bringing together the ethnic with the orchestral and the ancient with the modern in percussion instrument applications. Check out this great video of a Percussion Ensemble performance here. The event is free and open to the public.
