The 2013 Rankin Epstein Distinguished Alumni Award will be presented to Anthropologie Senior Designer and 2000 Fashion Design graduate alumna Ou Lin on May 4 during Drexel University’s Alumni award ceremony. Lin studied fashion as an undergraduate at the Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology in China before coming to Drexel and has since held design positions at Urban Outfitters and Mothers Work.
Lin is being recognized for leadership efforts in inspiring the next generation of creative leaders in the fields of design, media and art. She will receive the award from Fashion Design, Product Design, and Design & Merchandising Department Head Roberta Gruber during the ceremony.
The Rankin-Epstein Distinguished Alumni Award was established in 1997 and named for the former Drexel dean, Marjorie Rankin and the former head of the Design Department, Mary Epstein. Recipients for the award are selected on the basis of excellence in her or their chosen work, dedication to high ideals, and a consistent commitment to good citizenship.
