CNTRL @ Drexel
November 2, 2012
Today, Friday, November 2nd, electronic music innovators DJs Richie Hawtin and Loco Dice will visit Drexel as part of their month-long tour to educate students and music veterans alike on the history and growing popularity of electronic and techno(logy)-driven music. Hawtin and Dice have been in the scene for more than twenty years and through their tour, aptly named CNTRL, they will be at Drexel for a daytime conference and workshop that focuses on how to create tracks and develop strategies to break into this exploding market.
Following the daytime CNTRL session, all are invited to the Electric Factory to hear Hawtin, Dice and local artists spin their greatest hits. The daytime conference is November 2nd at 5 PM in the Main Auditorium (Main Building, 3141 Chestnut St.) and the evening performance at the Electric Factory starts at 8:30 PM. The daytime conference is free, and tickets for the Electric Factory show are $20 or $15 with a Drexel ID. Click here to purchase tickets. This event was organized by the Music Industry program and the Kal & Lucille Rudman Institute for Entertainment Industry Studies.
