Award-winning designer Craig Holden Feinberg has spent his career creating powerful art focused around social issue campaigns. Craig is a designer who has worked closely with the World Health Organization, International Council of Nurses, Fabrica Features, FAB Magazine and the United Colors of Benetton.  Craig is coming to Drexel as a Rankin Scholar-in-Residence with the Graphic Design program and will conduct a two-day workshop where students  will create posters that address social issues. Craig will oversee the design process that will move from concept to creation, focusing on creating a visual impact that will motivate people to take action. The workshop is open to all Westphal students, especially those with an interest in graphic design, photography and digital media. The Leonard Pearlstein Gallery will hold an exhibition of Craig's work opening Monday, May 14th with an opening reception on Friday, May 18th. The exhibition will feature over a dozen pieces created by Craig, ranging from social action campaigns and book designs, to magazine layouts and exhibition work. The opening reception will kickoff at 6 PM with a panel discussion focused on how visually impacting design work can raise awareness and push people toward actions that create change.  The panel includes  Evan Inatome, co-founder of Hanan World Ministries, a nonprofit humanitarian organization with a focus on disaster relief; Annmarie Cantrell, a chef and wellness educator of Maysie's Farm Conservation Center; and Jack Smith a certified anti-money laundering specialist who served as Deputy General Counsel or General Counsel for the FDIC, Federal Home Loan Bank Board and FCC. All events are free and open to the public in the lobby of Nesbitt Hall (3215 Market St.).
