Best of DNews
May 14, 2012
This past year, DNews covered a wide range of stories from our campus and around the region. This month, we’re bringing you the best of the best. On Friday, April 27th at 8 PM, DUTV will air The Best of DNews.
The show will feature highlights from Drexel Alum and retired Astronaut Christopher Ferguson’s visit to Drexel last summer when he commissioned Westphal Graphic Design students to create a set of mission patches. Jen Choy and Jeremy Bloom's patches were selected and were along for the ride on NASA’s final shuttle launch and left at the international space station.
Other stories include part one of Graham Bach's interview with Drexel Alum and former professional basketball player, Malik Rose, a Philly native who retired from the NBA and returned to Philadelphia to be the color analyst for the 76ers, and cancer survivor, PJ Aldridge’s talk at Drexel to educate and raise awareness about The PJ Aldridge Foundation which provides funding for the research of lung cancer.
The show will also feature Courtney Thomas' visit to the Eastern State Penitentiary, Marianne Gorsky’s celebration of Frozen Food Month, and Daniel Szwerc’s report on what its really like to be Mario the Dragon.
Be sure to tune in to DUTV, Comcast channels 54 or 62 and Fios channel 37, to catch all of these stories and more. DUTV is part of the Paul F. Harron Studios and receives generous support from the Kal and Lucille Rudman Institute for Entertainment Industry Studies. Click here for more information on DNews and DUTV.
