Westphal students from the Entertainment & Arts Management, Arts Administration, Television, Architecture and Digital Media programs have designed an exhibit featuring their own photographic work as part of their Exhibition Design class. The exhibit will be held at The Enclaves in South Philadelphia (3900 Gateway Drive, Philadelphia). There will be an opening night reception on Monday, March 12th from 5 - 8 PM. The exhibit will be on display until March 19th. Students who will have work exhibited are Tess Galen, Entertainment & Arts Management, Lauren Kelly, Entertainment & Arts Management, Xin Hui, Arts Administration, Samantha Salazar, Arts Administration, Georgina Zhao, Television, Jennifer Shin, Architecture, and Mark Petrovich, Digital Media.

Urban Intersections portrays the connections of time, place and characters in an evocative photographic experience of Philadelphia. The photographs are meant to remind people of the different aspects of the city of Philadelphia that have a connection they may not realize. People walk, work, socialize, and interact with the city and never think about the connection they have to other people who do the same things.

Over the course of 10 weeks students photographed the city and designed the exhibit with the help of Professor Victoria Prizzia and other professionals. From design charrettes to marketing lessons, students learned all aspects of how to create an exhibit in an accelerated format. We would like to thank Marva Brown and everyone else at the Enclaves for donating the use of their space, and the departments of Arts & Entertainment Enterprise and Art & Art History for helping fund this project.
