Vote for Our Fashion Design Students
July 3, 2012
The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and Diet Coke invited Drexel Fashion Design students to participate in a "STAYEXTRAORDINARY Design Challenge,” in which students were asked to create a T-shirt design for Diet Coke, a leading world-brand, with the goal of selling the design in Target stores across the country. The students were asked to utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create their original concepts for this Diet Coke STAYEXTRAORDINARY challenge. Twenty original designs from seventeen participating universities have been selected. Out of the 20 looks, three Drexel Fashion Design students were selected: Kelly Jenkins, Toni-Marie Koulos and Kayla Speedy. These three student designers will each receive a $250 scholarship award for 2012-2013 academic year expenses.
You can vote for Kelly, Toni and Kayla via their online profiles through June 19th at http://www.dietcoke.com/design/. After this first round of voting, 10 final designs will be chosen. A panel of leading style and fashion experts, including Members of CFDA, will judge the top 10 designs. The grand-prize winner will receive a $10,000 scholarship award for 2012-2013 academic year and be flown to New York for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience and private tour with the judging panel.
