Kay A. Bossone Fashion Runway

Kay and Edmund Bossone, long standing Drexel philanthropic leaders, have made a major contribution to the URBN Center, the iconic Robert Venturi designed 3501 Market Street building currently being transformed into a state-of-the-art facility for many Westphal programs. This generous gift to Drexel’s campus joins the Bossone Research Center as enduring landmarks of the Bossone’s commitment to educational excellence at Drexel University.
The Kay A. Bossone Fashion Runway will offer students of the Fashion Design Program the opportunity to present finished garments and accessories to their fellow students and faculty, and in critiques conducted by industry professionals. The runway will extend along the length of the atrium on the third floor, creating multiple viewing angles for instructional review and observation. The Kay A. Bossone Fashion Runway will provide our students with an environment that represents industry standards, allowing them professional insight on how to present their work.
Kay and Ed Bossone are deeply committed to the fashion program at Drexel and as well as to the University’s Historic Costume Collection which contains over 12,000 objects, dating back to 1810. With this gift the Bossones honor the legacy of Antoinette Westphal for whom the college is named.
