New DNews
February 24, 2012
The latest episode of DNews, our student-produced news program on all things Drexel and Philly, will air on DUTV Friday, February 24th at 8 PM. Maria Papadakis will introduce us to the Philadelphia Zoo’s winter season and explore what this Philly landmark has to offer during the colder months. Courtney Thomas takes DNews to another Philadelphia tourist destination, the Eastern State Penitentiary, to investigate the history of the infamous prison. To get ready for St. Patrick’s Day, Marianne Gorsky takes a crew to an Irish Dancing class to learn a new jig. Dan Szwerc explores the life of Drexel mascot Mario the Dragon to find out what life on campus is really like for a Dragon. If you have yet to find that special someone, you’ll want to catch Julia Grinberg’s piece exploring the risks and benefits of online dataing.
Tune into DUTV on Verizon Fios and Comcast on channels 37 and 54 respectively, or on Drexel campus television station 33. DNews is made possible, in part, through the generous support of the Kal and Lucille Rudman Institute for Entertainment Industry Studies.
