Ross Commons: Spring Exhibition
April 13, 2012
The Gallery at Ross Commons, a small gallery space dedicated entirely to work created by Westphal Art & Art History students, opened last winter with a wonderful assortment of paintings from Professor Bruce Pollock’s Painting II class. The Gallery features work created by juniors and seniors in rotation from painting, drawing, design, and foundation courses. Each term, a new collection of work will be presented in the space and this spring the gallery will feature drawing work from Professor Anda Dubinskis’ Introductory Drawing and Figure Drawing II classes. Anda will curate the exhibition. This initiative was created in partnership with Drexel Business Services.
To celebrate, the gallery will host an opening reception on Thursday, April 26th at 5 PM at Ross Commons (34th and Powelton Ave.). Light refreshments and desserts will be provided and twelve new pieces will hang in the gallery space.
