Film & Video Senior Show
May 21, 2011
The annual Film & Video senior show is like spending a week at a film festival…only it all happens in one afternoon. This year’s show will be Saturday, May 21st at 2PM in Bossone’s Mitchell Auditorium (3140 Market St.). For more than seven months our film & video seniors have been working on their capstone projects and the show will feature 30 film premieres. With documentaries, animation, comedy, drama, and even a zombie film filled with special effects, there’s something to please all tastes.
This year our students worked on what is quickly becoming Hollywood’s most desirable camera, the Red One. The Red One is a 35 mm digital camera that is favored by such directors as Steven Soderbergh and Peter Jackson. Jackson used Red One cameras to make his Academy award-nominated film District 9, and he recently ordered up several Red Ones for production of the The Hobbit. With the camera becoming the go-to choice for major Hollywood filmmakers, the film & video program has made our new Red One camera available for students’ projects.
