Ten Students from the Photography program were accepted into the Photographer's Forum 31st Annual Best of College Photography 2011.  Forum 31's photo editor, Nell Campbell, selected the best photographs from nearly 14,000 submissions.  Our students' work will be published in the hardbound publication Best of College Photography 2011, which is distributed to college libraries and university photography, art and graphic design programs.  Click here to see a list of the Drexel students whose work will be published in Best of College Photography 2011.

Also, one photography student, two alumni and one faculty member were selected for exhibition in Photography 30 at the Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown, New Jersey.  Sophomore Maria Papadopolus will be represented by her photo “Lazy Afternoon;”Courtney Astalfa, Alumna, for her photograph "40th and Chestnut, University City;" and Michael Froio, Photography Professor, for his photograph "Wills Creek Valley". Noah Addis, Alumni, won a Jurors Award in Photography 30, as well as the Museum Purchase Award from the Philadelphia Museum of Art for his photograph "Luis Fernando Vasquez plays futbol in the La Pradera settlement in Lima, Peru".  Addis has also been accepted into The Summer Show Project 2011 at Foley Gallery in New York, which offers him the unique chance to work directly with the Foley Gallery to create new work that will be included in a group exhibition in June 2011.  Addis was also awarded the Center for Emerging Visual Artists 2010-2011 Fellowship.
