Jason Crigler , a singer/songwriter and guitarist who performed with Norah Jones, Marshall Crenshaw and countless others, was struck with a massive brain hemorrhage (AVM or Arterio-Venous Malformation) while performing on stage. Despite the doctors' initial diagnosis that Jason might not live or would only survive in a greatly diminished capacity, his family, including his pregnant wife Monica, and his friends were determined to help him fully recover by caring for him in loving and creative ways.  Today Jason performs solo or with a band, and he travels the country telling his remarkable story of hope and inspiration.

Jason's story was documented by filmmaker Eric Daniel Metzgar in Life.Support.Music, which we will screen this Sunday, January 30th at 1 PM in Geary Auditorium B at the Center City Campus (245 N.15th St.).  Following the screening and a multi-media talk by Jason and his sister Marjorie, Jason will perform in concert backed by a band.  This story of how love and creativity can be forces for healing is co-sponsored with the College of Nursing and Health Professions, Drexel University College of Medicine, the Athletic Department, and the Office of Student Life.
