Wild Rompit Concert
April 29, 2011
Indie rock band Wild Rompit is a quartet consisting of two Music Industry students and one Entertainment & Arts Management and one Film & Video student. They formed last year and have been touring and writing new music for an LP they're releasing in conjunction with the Late Night Series. On Friday, May 6th at the gallery at 3401 (3401 Filbert St.), Wild Rompit will release their 2nd LP Brotherhood at a concert that begins at 6:30 PM. The album was recorded in the college's MAD Dragon Recording Studios and one of the tracks is featured on the upcoming Unleashed 7 compilation album due out later this spring on MAD Dragon records, the student-run record label that's part of our Music Industry program.
Paul Impellizeri, who plays bass for the band and also runs sound for the weekly Late Night Series open mic, is producing the show. In addition to Paul's work, the album release would not be possible without support from several other Westphal students. Chris Cardillo and Wes Cruz, two Music Industry juniors helped record and produce the album, while freshman Haley Holmes serves as the band's A&R representative. Graphic Design sophomore Brielle Demirjian created the album artwork. Be sure to show up earlier as capacity for the show is limited. Tickets are $5 at the door.
