Drexel's Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Naturally Sharp, will perform their annual spring Coffee and Jazz concert, featuring big band standards and classic favorites on Friday, April 29th and Saturday, April 30th at 8:20 PM in the Faculty Club, the 6th floor dining room of MacAlister Hall (33rd & Chestnut Sts). Admission is $7.
With the city skyline at dusk as a backdrop, audiences can expect to hear crowd pleasing favorites that include music from Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, and Louis Prima, all while enjoying a coffee and pastry.
Naturally Sharp is a select group of 15 talented singers chosen by audition from the University Chorus. Under the direction of Dr. Steven Powell, Performing Arts Department Head, these select singers will don gowns and tuxes and will be joined on stage by a three-piece band.
