Westphal Faculty Shows Off
April 18, 2011
A major exhibition featuring the diverse work of our faculty will take place at the new Pearlstein Gallery at 3401 (3401 Filbert St.), from April 18th – May 27th. An opening reception will be held Wednesday, April 20th at 6 PM in the gallery.
Taking over 10,000 square feet of raw exhibition space, the multi-media exhibition will showcase over 60 artists and 120 different works of art. Faculty from every department in the college will be represented.
In addition to painting, sculpture and site specific installations, the exhibition will include digital projects, applied design arts, architectural plans, fashion and performance. Our faculty have worked at the top of their fields, won Emmy Awards, designed for top fashion houses, exhibited in renowned museums internationally, and served as leaders of major cultural organizations and media companies.
Among the 120 works of art on display, visitors can expect to see palladium prints by Andrea Modica, fractal paintings by Bruce Pollock, site-specific installations by Ted Artz and Sue White, ambigrams by John Langdon and much more. Collaborative architecture and fashion animation projects are evidence of our faculties' interdisciplinary interests.
