The Next Generation of Broadway Composers
April 3, 2011
Mandell Professionals in Residence Project (MPiRP) and 11th Hour Theatre Company will present Kerrigan-Lowdermilk In Concert: You Made This Tour Philly Edition for one night only, Sunday, April 3rd at 7 PM at the Mandell Theater (33rd and Chestnut Sts.). Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk, both Philly natives, are two of the most influential young writers in musical theatre today. They are celebrating the release of their debut album, First Mistake, with their first tour.
Kerrigan and Lowdermilk were awarded the 2009 Kleban Award, 2006 Jonathan Larson Award and a Richard Rodgers Award. Their shows have been seen off-Broadway and around the country and their songs have been heard everywhere from major New York cabaret venues to the 2009 Miss America broadcast.
They will perform their favorite songs and will be joined by an impressive group of singers hailing from Broadway to Broad Street, many of who have performed in past MPiRP productions of RENT and Reefer Madness, including Jennie Eisenhower, Alex Keiper and Marrissa K. Hines as well as cast members from Spring Awakening, Wicked and Mamma Mia. Tickets are $23, and are available at www.11thhourtheatrecompany.org or by calling the box office at 267-987-9865.
