IMPROVISE! is a unique concert that brings together the Music and Dance programs to explore open forum collaboration and performance. The Department of Performing Arts will present IMPROVISE! Dance & Music in Collaboration, on Friday, April 1st at 8 PM in the Mandell Theater.

Organized by Entertainment and Arts Management students Rebecca Green and Katie Lynch for their senior project, the show features student choreography by Ashley Jacobs (Dance '12), Rebecca Green (Entertainment & Arts Management '11) and Grace Gamble (Finance '13). The performance will also feature pieces by Dance Program Director Dr. Miriam Giguere and dance faculty member Olive Prince. Our various music ensembles including the Drexel Improv Ensemble, led by Dr. Mike Moss, and The Jazz Orchestra, led by Dr. George Starks, will accompany each piece.

This concert features dance and music performances that require spontaneous creativity and improvisation that displays the talent for in-the-moment decision making, while allowing for enormous individual expression. The event is free and open to the public. For more information contact Jim Yandoli, Publicity Graduate Assistant, at 215-895-1275, or email yandoli@drexel.edu.
