Yellow and black logo This year’s resident MPiRP company, 11th Hour Theatre Company, will begin their 2010-2011 Season with a special one night benefit concert of Jonathan Larson’s tick, tick…BOOM!. This special concert will be performed on Monday, October 25th, at 7:00 PM in the Mandell Theater. A portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit the Mazzoni Center, Philadelphia's LGBT Health and Wellness Center.

tick, tick…BOOM!, Jonathan Larson’s autobiographical story of a young composer on the brink of turning 30 and falling into oblivion, started the incredible journey that led to the creation of the Broadway smash hit RENT. 11th Hour and the Drexel Players will stage RENT from November 5-21st in the Mandell Theater. The production features professional theatre artists working alongside eight Drexel students.

The Mazzoni Center is the only health care provider in the Philadelphia region specifically targeting the unique health care needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities. The center offers an array of health and legal services, a food bank, housing subsidies for families and individuals affected by HIV, support groups, and outreach and education programs.
