New DUNews
November 30, 2010
DNews will be featuring stories on some great philanthropic projects happening in our region whose good works embody the spirit of the holiday season. Jenn Delany will report on the 30th Annual ABATE Toy Run, a program that collects and distributes toys to children at the Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania. Julia Fisher will report on the Share a Night program, a fundraiser run by the Ronald McDonald House to raise money to support a family's stay during the holidays. Finally, Bradon Manni will report on the alliance, led by Interior Design Professor Debra Ruben, between Drexel and the Blankenburg Elementary School which resulted in a playground being built for the West Philadelphia public school.
Other DNews features include a story by producer Loren McFalls on our Kirie: Paper Japonism exhibit currently on display in the Leonard Pearlstein Gallery, and arts and crafts enthusiasts will enjoy Breanne O'Neil's story on the 34th annual Philadelphia Art Museum Craft Show featuring 195 of the finest craft artists in the country. The new edition of the monthly DNews premiered on November 26th, but you can watch it right now by clicking here.
