Dancing at Ikea November 23, 2009 The Conshohocken IKEA is graciously allowing Dance Program Director, Dr. Miriam Giguere, nine Drexel student dancers, and Film & Video student Abigail Shagin to dance and film amidst the stores' furniture displays, all while the store is open to the general public. Dancers will be filmed in four different IKEA environments representing a living room, dining room, bedroom and office, all to be incorporated in an original dance piece from Dr. Giguere that will premiere January 28-30, 2010 during the annual Winter Dance Concert, "Furnishings." So head over to IKEA on Wednesday, December 9th at 1:00 PM, get a jump on your holiday shopping and watch our dance students in an entirely different realm.
