Traces at the Pearlstein Gallery
November 9, 2009
French artist, designer and performer Aurore Thibout's work is on display at the Leonard Pearlstein Gallery. Traces: Installation and Memory Clothes was part of the recent Arts of Fashion symposium and competition that turned the campus into a fashion epicenter for five days last month. For Aurore, clothing becomes a poetic expression through her imprints and embedded shapes using lightly woven fabrics to create a ballet-like wardrobe. While creating feminine clothing, she uses layering and transparencies to make her work appear ghost-like. Be sure to visit the gallery and catch the exhibition before it ends on November 20th.
