Interactive Magazine Seeks Student Talents
April 2, 2006
Dragonfire, a fully-interactive publication based at Drexel, is hiring Co-Op, work study and part-time student workers to create and edit multimedia elements to accompany our reported print stories. Dragonfire works with award-winning journalists from around the world, and the current roster includes reporters/writers/artists from: The New Yorker, CNN, BBC, Newsweek, Time, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The Daily News, National Public Radio, WHYY, PBS, CBC and more.
Together with the editors, student workers will help design innovative layouts and presentations and attend editorial meetings. The publication uses Flash and work a lot with mapping and 3-D design programs.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to put what they're learning at AWCoMAD to practical use in a real setting. This spring/summer, Dragonfire also be offering training and conference opportunities to our student workers. If you're interested, please contact Editor In Chief Amy Webb at aw73@drexel.edu. You can also instant message her (AIM) at dfireeditor. To learn more about Dragonfire, visit: www.dfire.org.
