Ahead of Love On The Streets (LOTS) 2016 on Saturday, May
14th,
Mad Dragon Media Presets
LOTS of Radness on May 12th. The event will
take place in Drexel's Pearlstein Gallery, which is currently featuring Philly
Radness, an interactive skateboarding exhibit. LOTS of Radness will act as a
pre-party for the festival taking place two days later and will feature local music
from
Brandon Can't Dance, Horsecops,
as well as a solo set from
Old Maybe.
LOTS festival will then transform Paine’s Park into a skateboard and cultural
oasis. Last year’s inaugural event was the brainchild of Drexel University senior,
Joe Esposito, the current Special Events Director at the nonprofit. This year, with
a bigger team of dedicated college students and a network of growing
supporters, the festival continues to advocate for skateboarders, artists,
businesses, and community members that are integral to Philadelphia’s social
and creative societies.
XPN Presents: The Mad Dragon Stage
will host a full day of music from
bustling Philadelphia acts such as
Lithuania
(ft. Eric of Dr. Dog)
, Steady Hands
(ft. Sean of Modern Baseball)
, The Obsessives, JANK, Mumblr, Vicky
Speedboat, Endless Taile, Plainview, RFA, Fishtown Beats, Frank Sriracha,
and
Aurize.
This year’s festival will feature a
skate competition with a $2,000 grand prize
,
a full day of music
,
a beer garden, live street art, a flea market, local food
trucks
, and much more!

and Electric
Factory resident
, Get Up,
will turn Paine’s Park into a small emulation of
Philadelphia’s vast mural collection.
