Pop Art in Japan Satellite Exhibit

Pauline Nyren's pop art in japan exhibit

Pauline Nyren

The purpose of this project was to create a satellite exhibit designed to spark interest in the International Pop exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. On the outside walls of the exhibit, one of the panels discusses the International Pop exhibit, while another panel displays a directional map showing how to reach the museum within walking distance. The form of the exhibit is modeled after a piece by Tadanoori Yokoo, which is brought to life through the separation of layers of the eye and the surrounding radials. The exhibit features work by Kiyoshi Awazu and a miniature model of the Obliteration Room by Yayoi Kusama.
