For the sixth year, Westphal students from Film & Video, Screenwriting & Playwriting, Television, Digital Media, and related programs will travel to Los Angeles for the Drexel in LA experience.  Thirty-seven students will spend the full summer term taking classes and interning in the industry in which they’ll build their careers . Some students will even stay on after August to complete their six-month co-op experience. Students will gain valuable experience and skills working at leading entertainment companies including Artistic Endeavors, Berlanti Productions, Coloma Productions, Fremantle Media, HeadGum, Heroes and Villains Entertainment, Mad Chance Productions, Makeup Art & Effects Laboratories Inc, Mar Vista Entertainment, Red Hour Films, Rumble Films, The Robb Company, Trailer Park, Inc., Voltage Pictures, and Zucker Production.

Past student participants have held internships at College Humor, SAG Foundation, BBC Worldwide Productions, MGM-HD, the Writers Guild Foundation Library, DreamWorks, the American Film Institute, and The AFI Conservatory Directing Workshop for Women among others.  Many previous DiLA participants already hold professional positions in the industry.  
 

DiLA is open to all entertainment industry majors and minors who have completed their sophomore year. All DiLA students will share apartments in the luxurious Orsini complex in downtown L.A. Click here for more information about the DiLA program and on how to enroll.
